Over the last five years we’ve built a mutually supportive relationship with Tommy Banks and the team who have been keen to align their brand with ours. Tommy has personally written several features for us as well as working with his team to film the journey of their produce from their kitchen garden in Oldstead to a finished dish at Roots in York.
Independent Life creates a space for independents to work together, meaning they can take their brand to another level. Here at Roots and The Black Swan Oldstead it’s given us a platform to reach a wider audience of like-minded people who want to support their local independents, and they do it in such a friendly and approachable way. With such a lovely team it made us feel like we had gained a new friendship group rather than ‘business connections.
